A Window Seat Of My Own

You know how I love window seats? Well, this weekend I finally did something about it.

I got this trunk a while back on sale at Nordstrom. (Their home department in the Seattle store is tiny but always has great stuff! I never leave without buying something.)  This past weekend I wedged it into a nook in the bedroom and voilà, a window seat of my own:

In the trunk, I keep all the pillows that are not currently being used. It’s stuffed so full, the lid barely wants to stay down(!)

I never hung out in this spot before but now I just love it. It’s my new place to write in my journal or just veg out and gaze out at the trees which I managed to do a little of this weekend. How was your weekend?

There seems to be no shortage of fantastic window seats these days and in all different styles. Here are some more to add to the collection:

I really have to get myself one somehow!  See what everyone else is into today at the Hooked on Fridays blog party.

And I’d like to thank you all for all of the positive feedback to my Traveling Thursdays feature. It’s something very near and dear to my heart so I really appreciate it!

Have a great weekend, everyone! See you Monday!

Window Seat Love

I’ve had a thing for window seats for the longest time. If I walk into a room and there is a window seat, I’m heading straight for it. It’s one of those things that are just impossible to resist. Just last week, Blair at Delight by Design posted some great window seats. Here are some more that I’ve collected:

Are any of you lucky enough to have a window seat?
