Shots of blue were on my radar a few months ago and they still are except now instead of ink, it’s turquoise.
Turquoise is one of those colors that can go wrong very easily but when done well like in these spaces, there’s nothing fresher or brighter.
How do you feel about turquoise? Love it or hate it?

I’m more than a little obsessed with blue and yellow right now.
And I mean all shades of blue and all shades of yellow.
Usually when I get like this about a color combination, it’s a specific shade of each color but not this time.
I love the whole range from baby blue to navy …..
to turquoise to ink …..
from lemon yellow to butterscotch ….. all of them!
And of course I can’t leave out what has been my favorite room for at least half a year now:
Light blue Chesterfield and yellow Louis XVI’s. I mean really. How could you get any better?

My beloved orange Pop chair has been making its way around the new house. I can’t decide where it should go but what I am sure of is that I want to pair with some blue.
Lately, it seems like I want to pair everything with blue. Maybe blue is my new black . . .

My love affair with blue and yellow continues from yesterday.

I like the super saturated colors in all these rooms . . .

I mentioned yesterday how crazy I am for blue right now. For some reason, I’ve never used it in any of my homes.
I’m not sure why because it’s a color I’ve always liked. I mean, who doesn’t like blue?
I guess there were just other colors I liked more.
But lately, blue is at the top of my love list.

My current favorite color combination comes as a huge surprise to me: pink & blue. I can’t get enough of it!
And I’m liking almost any variation of pink or blue.
But hot fuscha and a deep inky blue is probably the one I love most. I nearly died when I saw this room from the latest Elle Decor:

Not to worry, I mean I’m feeling blue, literally. In addition to the blue and white stripes that I mentioned earlier in the week, I find myself liking just a splash of blue here and there.
Especially when it’s paired with yellow or red. It’s a primary thing, I guess.

I don’t know about you but I am so looking forward to some down time this weekend! Our guests are gone, I finished a major work project and my dog seems to be doing better (he got really sick on Wednesday but he should be jut fine). So there’s going to be some serious R&R around our house the next couple of days. Hope you have a great weekend. I’ll see you Monday!

I haven’t used any blue in the home in over 10 years. I don’t know why but I just haven’t been that interested in it. Until now.
I’m loving all of this blue and white striped bedding.
I think some blue and white stripes will definitely make its way into the cabin in some form or another!
