More Blue, This Time With Orange

My beloved orange Pop chair has been making its way around the new house. I can’t decide where it should go but what I am sure of is that I want to pair with some blue.

Lately, it seems like I want to pair everything with blue. Maybe blue is my new black . . .

It’s Black & White

I have been playing around with so many color palettes lately that I’ve think I’ve hit a saturation point. (Ha ha ha. No pun intended.) When I get like that, I like to take a break with a good dose of black and white.

And a little hit of gray is always okay, of course.

Another Moodboard + Wishlist + Your Help Needed

I have a lot to talk about today! First, in addition to the “moodboard-on-the-floor” for my office that I posted a few weeks ago, here’s another one I’m working with right now. This one is for the main level of the house. It’s not as fleshed out as the one for the office but I wanted to show you where I’m headed. These are pages from Elle Decoration UK and France, Domino, and the two wallpaper samples are from Farrow & Ball.

Here’s what Frenchie #2 thinks of my moodboards:

Lastly, I hate to drag you into this but . . . let me tell you what is going on. Basically, there is a website that is stealing content from my blog and posting it as their own. They’ve posted every single one of my posts from May, including all my guest bloggers’ posts. There’s probably more but I stopped looking after that because I don’t want to keep giving them more traffic. They’re not even trying to hide it; everything is taken verbatim.

I’ve left them messages through their contact form (there’s no email address anywhere on the site) but so far, they haven’t done anything about it. So, I’m hoping that if more people told them to take my content down that they might listen. The ironic thing is that by doing that, we’ll be sending them traffic, which is exactly what they want! But I don’t see what else I can do. So, if you’d like to help out, here is the link to their contact form:

Please include my URL (www.fromtherightbank.com) in your message so they know which content you’re talking about. They’re stealing from other sites too so I think they’ll need the clarification. [Update: They've removed their contact form and closed the comments on posts so there is no way to contact them anymore. I guess they didn't like getting all of our messages! But they still haven't removed any of my content. But thanks to all of you who contacted them (or tried)! I'll try to get in touch with their webhosting company now.] Ugh. Some people just suck. Thanks for your help and I’ll keep you posted as to what happens.

Orange Crush: Hermès

I honestly don’t know how I’ve done all these Orange Crush posts without doing one on Hermès! I think just the sight of those orange boxes makes most of us happy.

But when they contain things like this cashmere blanket, it’s even better!

Unfortunately, it’s virtually impossible to get your hands on one.

And speaking of rare items:

I am positively DYING over this Leica M7, Edition Hermes. It is a limited edition collector’s item and as a sometimes-photographer and huge Leica fan, I’d be all over this . . . except for one wee little fact. It runs around $14,000. Ouch, right? Blue & Yellow

My love affair with blue and yellow continues from yesterday.

I’ve posted about blue and yellow before here and here and here are some more rooms that get this combination right.

I like the super saturated colors in all these rooms . . .

The Blues

I mentioned yesterday how crazy I am for blue right now. For some reason, I’ve never used it in any of my homes.

I’m not sure why because it’s a color I’ve always liked. I mean, who doesn’t like blue?

I guess there were just other colors I liked more.

But lately, blue is at the top of my love list.

Red and White Stripes

I’m mad for stripes (like these textiles from the lovely Red Ticking) and would probably have no problem if my entire house were striped. When it comes to red and white stripes, I think a little restraint is in order so it doesn’t get too candy striper-ish. And when done right, it can totally make a room.

I like everything in this room but that strip of red and white is what just does it for me:
