Good morning, everyone, how was your weekend? I spent the entire weekend painting my room for Room Service – it took two full days – and oh my god, I am beat! But the room looks great and is all ready for installation this week. A huge thanks goes out to Glidden for donating the paint and to my friend Elle who was a warrior painter and great company for the two days. This is my current moodboard for the room. That’s my floral sofa that I’m donating which seemed a perfect fit for a lounge in a girls’ cottage and to further my goal of making the room bright and cheerful.
So the project will be completed this week and I’m happy with the way it’s coming together except for one thing. Apparently I’m the worst fundraiser ever because I’ve raised no money for this project. It probably has to do with me being totally sheepish about it because I absolutely hate asking for money. But it’s crunch time and this is a great cause so here goes…..Just to recap, this is a room at the United Methodist Children’s Home which houses young men and women who are trying to make their way to self-sufficiency. If you would like to make a donation to help pay for this makeover, please click on the “Donate” button you see at the top right corner of the blog under the FTRB logo. Thank you!
It’s going to be a crazy busy (and fun) week. If you want to follow my progress, I’ll be on Instagram (@FromTheRightBank) and Twitter (@FromTheRightBnk).
