I’ve been a fan of India Mahdavi for a long time which won’t come as a surprise to you if you’re familiar with her offbeat, international style. So when I read she had a new book coming out, I pre-ordered it and even though I only received it last week, it’s already becoming a favorite so I wanted to share it with you. (I’ve been enjoying it with my morning cup.)

I would put Home Chic in the category of how-to books (but with better photography) and the city guide section with her favorite shops around the world is something I’ll be consulting for sure. Oh and I love the sofcover too. It feels like a journal more than a book.   Plus it’s gold. :)

There are plenty of inspirational images, many from her own home, along with great simple tips and design rules for you to use or break. Like I said, it’s more of a guidebook but executed really well (which can’t be said for a lot of books in this category).

And speaking of books, I’m working on another edition of Design Library Essentials too so look for that soon.
