The Fabric Wasn’t the Fabric After All
So earlier this week I went to the showroom with every intention of ordering the l’Arbre de Matisse fabric to reupholster the Napoleon settee. After entertaining a few other ideas, I finally decided that it was the fabric. But when I saw it in person, I was so surprised at how disappointing it was. Here’s a photo I snapped of it:

Do you see what I mean? It just didn’t have that oomph that it had in all those photos I had seen. It also didn’t help that they only had two of the colorways on display.
The trip wasn’t a total loss though because I spotted two more patterns that I’m kind of crazy about. The first one is Potalla:

The other one is Lysette:

Yeah. So I decide on a fabric and somehow end up even further away from finishing this project than before. What? Well, at least it’s becoming obvious that I want something floral and organic. That narrows it down, doesn’t it?!
I’ll contemplate that over the weekend and see you all Monday. Have a great weekend!

See what a trip to ADAC will do for you
More confusion.
Love your second choice too. Did you my blog post about this fabric?

Can’t wait to see your finished project!!!!

Nothing worse than seeing something online or in a catalogue and it’s not living up to the visual expectation. Glad your trip wasn’t wasted.
I’ve had that happen- the same thing, looking from the magazine picture in your hand to the actual product…
why is it that doing up our own homes is such a painful, drawn-out process? at least, like you said, you’ve narrowed down a style!
