A Cabin on Arcachon Bay, France

Arcachon Bay is in the western part of France, a place that is under the radar (compared to places like Provence) and I think that makes it an even more idyllic place for a vacation house.

The midcentury-meets-industrial style, all the gorgeous wood and compact size make for a great little cabin, don’t you think?
The past two weeks around FTRB have turned out to be a little more – shall we say – exciting than I’d like and I am so ready for a quiet, relaxing weekend. I hope you have a restful and relaxing one too. See you Monday!

p.s. and thanks again for your obama shoutout. all i can say is, pure jubilation.
Happy weekend to you Ally. With this wonderful home, you had me at Mid-Century. Wow what a marvellous setting and home. Cheers!
A perfect beach house! It is so light and airy and comfy looking!
Coucou Ally! Are you sure that it isn’t the Baie d’Aracachon?
Looks lovely!
Oh goodness, how did that happen? It’s neither Arachon nor Aracachon but Arcachon!! Bassin d’Arcachon. I just corrected it.
Sweet…I want the fireplace!
Hello Ally,
Hi Ally,
I’m your french supporter!
Hugs from Paris. I’ve to come here to discover that beautiful arcachon house.!
Your blog is fantastic and I know how exhausting it must be to post so often.
I’ll come and come again to read it. From the right bank is an open window on american way to decorate.
Have a nice sunday.
Christian
What a great house.
I love the combination of the metal chairs in the kitchen with the wooden table.
Some “cabin.”
