Some New (Old) Pillows and Accessories for the Living Room

(Apologies upfront for the grainy iPhone pics.) I still haven’t been able to find just the right pillow for the living room so I brought the old Josef Frank ones that have been in my office as placeholders.

They will do for now so I can stop looking which means I’ll find exactly what I want because we always find things just when we stop looking for them, don’t we?

A quick shot of the coffee table (which looks different every day):

That little blue tin holds these Chinoiserie coasters I got years ago from a store called Alan Chan Creations in Hong Kong. They had been packed away and I had forgotten all about them until recently when I doing some organizing and found them in a box of random stuff. I remembered the store was really cute and wondered if they were still around so I googled them and was happy to see they’re still making some really cute things. If you’re ever in Hong Kong, I highly recommend a visit.

I guess the message for today is you can redecorate without buying a single thing if you’re a hoarder! Speaking of which, I spent most of the weekend cleaning and organizing which felt so good. For some reason I get the urge to purge toward the end of the year. Does anyone else?

Ally it looks great! I can’t believe you took those with your iPhone:). I love the blue sofa girl!
ally, i so thought that first image was from a magazine.
yep. i’m one who cleans out end-of-year instead of spring. I think it’s because my upstairs guest room is my junk room….excuse me…my resource center…so I gotta get it ready for holiday guests. every year, I say, I’m NOT gonna junk this room up again!
