Moody Country

I would never have thought a country style home could be described as moody but that’s what came to mind when I saw this cottage.

In so many ways, this house is not me at all but I’m still drawn to all of the layers and dark wood. I like to look outside my usual likes every now and then. What about you?

I love that kind of cottage – reminds me of the lake cottages upstate where I spent my summers as a girl. I still dream about the pom pom edged curtains in my bedroom at my grandmothers house and how they made shadows against the wood walls.

You know, I don’t think I could live in this space. I think the photography is beautiful but I feel like it would feel really dark in person. But it is beautiful, and I think some of the furniture is really fantastic.

Well, you know that I like moody so it is no surprise that I love this–especially as I imagine it to be something of a retreat and not a year round type of thing?

    Bon weekend et bisous,
