Art Walls, Part 20

It’s just wrong that I (nicknamed the “queen of art walls” by many) do not have a giant, jam-packed wall like this in my house. The reason is not a lack of art but a lack of wall space. Most of the first floor’s walls are windows and doors, which is fantastic for natural light but it means there is no wall that isn’t broken up.

There is, however, a really long wall in my basement office which I was going to turn into a sort of scrapbook wall with mementos, photographs, etc. but I think it’s going to have to give way to a massive art wall…..

……because I know I won’t be satisfied until I have one!

Meanwhile, more art has been shuffled around the rest of the house:

There’s been a lot of hammering chez FTRB lately!

I love these posts but I think I need help for “beyond the art wall” — how to put art into a whole room without it going into crazytown. I wonder if these rooms with the great art walls leave the other walls mainly blank for balance? At any rate, they’re gorgeous — can’t wait to see your art gallery all installed! Cheers – CT

That’s a good point. I’m not sure what’s going on in these rooms but for me personally, I would definitely balance out any massive art walls with some breathing space or one large piece, etc. It would obviously also depend on the architecture of the room (doorways, windows, etc.). An entire room of this would be overwhelming even for me!
