Derrière, Paris
For our birthdays, the hubby and I usually do some sort of joint celebration since they’re only a couple of weeks apart. Most years, it’s a trip somewhere and this year, we decided on Paris. (Oh yeah.) Since it’s coming up in just a couple of weeks, we spent most of the weekend making plans and reservations and that’s when I came across Derrière.
It’s a restaurant that was intended to make you feel like you were having dinner at a friend’s apartment.
It’s so perfectly imperfect, isn’t it?

This is, by far, the most interesting dinner spot that I have ever seen. I can’t imagine walking away without having a story to tell.
That was my reaction too.
Aside from Wow this is waaaay cool! – the only other thing I can say is – only in Europe! This is fantastic, like taking the whole Central Perk to another level.

I have always wanted to go! Don’t forget to reserve (and apparently it can be hard to get someone to answer the phone) and to explore the hidden smoking bar upstairs. I think you have to walk through an armoire to get to it–à la Narnia!
And girly, you are going to be so close, yet again! Are you SURE you don’t have time to make a teeny hop on the TGV?
This is so cool. I would be hesitant though cause it looks like my friends dirty apartment. Haha. Would be a cool experience and I’m sure the food is amazing. Keep us posted if you go!
