More on Lavender and Orange for the Living Room

I think I’ve almost convinced myself to take the plunge with a lavender settee. But just to be 100% certain, I gathered some more examples of rooms using a purple/lavender & orange scheme.

Remember the cover of Katie Ridder’s book:

Kelly Wearstler kicks it up a notch by also throwing in a little pink and mauve:

And check out this room:

It has to be the same room from Wednesday but styled differently, right?

And let me just post these two room one more time so I can have all the lavender and orange rooms in one place. (I swear it’s the last time):

Yup, I think I’m going to do it. I’ve already even started scouting the fabric:

This must mean I’m serious!

Have a great weekend, guys. I’ve got some rearranging and a painting project planned which I hope to show you Monday. See you all then!

I say ‘do it’ Ally. Such a rich, luxurious combination of colors when tempered with neutrals. I have to say I’m tempted too, especially after your inspirational post. Have a lovely weekend and all the best to you!

Do it Ally! Love how lavendar instantly makes the mood more romantic in any setting…soft and supple…that mix of suede walls (i think?) in the top shot is brilliant! Like Tudor fell in love!

Great mix, can’t wait to see what you decide! Happy Weekend!

I think this sounds lovely – and depending on the lavender, it can read almost as a neutral (because lavenders can look like lovely rich greys in some lights), and so I think the orange will pop beautifully.

Good luck! Looking forward to seeing the results.
