Sneak Peek of the Living Room

It has been such an exciting week here at FTRB and I’m so, so grateful for all of your support – for my new shop, the One Kings Lane sale and just for FTRB in general. Thank you so much for your visits, your comments and your friendship. It truly means the world to me.

Okay, enough gushing and on to our living room. I’m still pulling it together but it’s time to give you a sneak peek already!  You knew an art wall was a given:

This is what is across from that wall:

and underneath the wall:

and what’s on the coffee table:

I’m waiting on my new rug to arrive (to die for) and I’m still working on shots of the rest of the room so stay tuned for a more full reveal very soon!

If you’re visiting from OKL or are just new to FTRB, here are a few links to help you get acquainted:

-You can see everything I’ve done with my house so far here.
-There is a tour of my last home on Design Sponge here.
-You can shop my virtual shop for one-of-a-kind antiques, original art and vintage gems here.
-There’s more than you ever wanted to know about me here.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone and if you haven’t had time to stop by yet, the One Kings Lane sale runs until Monday morning. Thanks again for a ridiculously fun week!

Ally! Oh course an art wall but one made up entirely of oil paintings? I love that you always have surprises up your sleeve. There is nothing cookie cutter about you.

And I am very jealous of your “lustre”. I have been searching for one, pretty much exactly like yours with zero success. Ever notice that when you have the funds the good stuff disappears and when you are broke it is there in spades?

Felicitations for a super week et bon WE!

Merci, Heather. You know that lustre was brought back from Paris, right? :) Good luck in your search – I can’t think of anything more fun to do than shopping for one in Provence!!

Ooh, if you weren’t so busy right now I’d say hop on a plane and let’s go shopping together! And of COURSE I knew where yours came from–sheesh. I am hoping to have luck at the debellage in Montpellier at the end of the month…

  4. Room for Thinking

LOL Ally, I hadn’t checked your blog out yet when I sent you the email just now saying I wished I could see more photos of your house… I’m nosy like that.

Your artwork is fabulous. Are most of the paintings in their original frames (looks like it). I love the way the antique frames contrast with the clean white walls and the modern furniture. I really need to add some antiques to my apartment which is starting to look like a mid-century showroom.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Too funny! I bet I’m nosier – I LOVE seeing other people’s homes!

Yes, all they are original. I have a real thing for old frames and sometimes I’ll buy a piece even if I don’t like the art just for the frame. :)
