Slightly Obsessed with Ben Pentreath

I just bought a ticket to London for February so I’m already thinking about all the places I need to visit, including Ben Pentreath.

If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a home accessories and antique shop full of interesting-looking pieces sourced from around the world

and its owner just has impeccable taste.

This photo of his salon has been making its way around the blogosphere and it’s no wonder:

I love so many of the individual pieces but it’s the feeling this room evokes that really gets me. (If you missed any of my prior posts on the topic of decorating by feel, you can find them here and here.)

Here’s the same room designed slightly differently:

I can’t wait to see the store in person but if London isn’t in your future plans, you can shop online.

I think it was Katy Elliott and Michelle Armas who posted on Ben Pentreath recently, and with each post I squeal louder and louder at images of his home! His whole aesthetic seems perfectly collected over time. Wish I could fit in your suitcase to take the journey with you, Ally!

Oh gosh, I didn’t even see their posts so that means there’s even more buzz! Now I’ll have to go see what they posted. And hey, you should come to London too! :)

I was in the shop in May of 2010, before they expanded and so wish I could go back! It is charming, as is the whole block and neighborhood. I am constantly using mantlescapes and arrangements from the shop photos in posts – they are so inspiring!!!
    Enjoy!
