French Opulence at Hotel du Marc, Reims
Hotel du Marc, the 19th century neoclassic private mansion of the House of Veuve Clicquot recently reopened after four years of renovations and it’s a beauty.  Despite the name, it isn’t a hotel and isn’t open to the public so we’re touring it today purely for design inspiration. As you’ll see there’s plenty of that.
I love a good update and even more so when it’s a classic with lots of surprising elements thrown in. What do you think?
Now, if you’re looking for a hotel in Reims you can actually stay in, there’s always this one.

Gorgeous! Love that fuzzy white modern chair side by side with the more classic one!
definitely impressive although not my personal style. It would be fun to tour the updated mansion though, just to imagine what would be like to be at a party there or to sit at that long table for a meal.
