Favorite Vacation House Style #4: South African Coastal
My next Favorite Vacation House Style can be found on the coasts of South Africa.
There’s something very special about the light there. It’s one of the first things that struck me when I visited and that has stayed with me.
It makes the white houses along its coasts even more brilliantly bright.
I think this house is a great example of what I’m talking about.
The neutral palette and all the natural elements are perfectly suited to the landscape.
There’s a really beautiful, desolate quality to many of its beaches that’s also very special.

Wow, the white stucco facade really reminds me of the houses along the Mediterranean, specifically the houses I saw in Santorini and Mykonos during my honeymoon! These are gorgeous!

Honestly this made me drool a little. I have family in SA and I just adore the sense of style south africans have for home decor. Seems like everyone I know there (friends and family) has a dream home. This is simply stunning.
