Favorite Vacation House Style #1: Balearic/Spanish
Welcome to my brand new series Favorite Vacation House Styles! If you’re a regular reader of FTRB, you already know about my obsession with vacation homes. So while I’m away on my own vacation, I’ll be showing you examples of my top seven styles for vacation houses.
A few months ago, I showed you my dream vacation house on the island of Formentera. For those who aren’t familiar with Formentera, it’s one of the Balearic islands in the Mediterranean off of the Spanish coast. The slightly rustic and exotic feel of the houses in that part of the world is my favorite style when it comes to a vacation home. Here’s another great house on Formentera I came across recently.
So this is my absolute favorite style but I have some very close seconds to show you next.

Love the blue glass pendant light. Lovely!
Oooh, I am hoping there is a Balinese home in the series but already this one is gorgeous! But, I have to say that my sweetie likes to tie up the cutains as in photo #4 and it drives me frickin’ insane–hours of ironing out the window!
Hope (and know) that you are having a great time Ally!
i love that wood table!
you have inspired me – please let me know where I can get hold of this particular house on Formentera so that we can rent it for a holiday
it is divine – thank you for finding it!!
As far as I know it’s a private residence but a holiday in Formentera would be great in any home. Well, almost any home.
