Today’s Crush: Ikea Alvine Rand Rug
I’ve been playing musical rugs. I have more rugs in storage in the basement than any reasonable person should but in my defense, I got most of them before we got two messy dogs. Since they’ve entered my life, I’m all for inexpensive rugs and who does that better than Ikea? My favorite has to be the Ikea Rand. You’ve all seen it in my old house:
Everyone and their brother has it but that’s because it just works and you can’t beat the price. I still love it but now I’m lusting after the Ikea Alvine Rand:
I think the slightly Navajo-like pattern is beyond fabulous and the gray, white and black would be perfect in my house.
So if I run into you at Ikea, you’ll know why I’m there!
You just gotta love Ikea! I have a Paris/ Ikea question for you – have you been to the Ikea – Kitchen only store in Paris? I’ve heard it mentioned only as legend
If it does actually exist, do you know where it is and can you get there via public transport.
I’ve been to the Ikea just outside of Paris that you can reach by RER but it’s a regular store. I don’t know about a kitchen only one. Please let me know if you find it!
Geez…were we separated at birth???? I brought that rug home once also. You seriously can not beat the prices at Ikea…hands down.

I LOVE that yellow one too but light rugs also don’t do well with my dogs.

We have the Alvine Rand….LOVE IT!
We use it in the foyer as our ‘winter rug’, so at the moment its tucked in the basement

I love this rug too – the colors and the pattern. It seems like it would work with lots of styles.
