Art Walls, Part 11

It’s that time again ….. today’s roundup of art walls is of the hodgepodge variety – a mix of media, styles, frames, everything. If I had to choose, I think this is my favorite type because even if they can get kind of chaotic, they are the most interesting.

Rita Koenig does this style better than anyone:

Yup, still not tired of looking at her apartment.

And last but not least:

I actually gasped when I turned to this page in Elle Decor a few months back. Did anyone else? I love how the art  covers the entire wall and follows the slope of the roof. That Jeré sculpture and the Barcelona chairs don’t hurt either!

I like it. I like how the spacing and colors are balanced so that it doesn’t seem chaotic. I had the same reaction when I saw it in the magazine. I (still) have not hung one framed picture in my house since the last art wall was posted…but I think about it. Our bedroom has a ceiling similar to that in the Elle Decor photograph and I think it would look great if I hung pictures/art in that fashion…but I have to finish the kitchen first…

These are gorgeous. It’s fascinating to see people who can put together this look with so much style. It looks random but it’s not. You learn that when you either try to do it yourself or see someone who has done it badly. It’s an art!

I love the last image. I own an Art Gallery and so have walls that are always full of art displayed in much this way. Things are much simpler in my home though, might have to change it up these are quite the inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

My next project is an art wall in my dining room. I love your inspiration photos — it gives me the courage experiment and be bold.

amazing how much these pictures can enhance a room. done delicately it needn’t look “busy”. definitely something to be approached with thought!
