Reveal of the Longest Upholstery Project In History

After about a million ideas for paint colors and fabrics, here they are:

In case you somehow missed all the prior posts about these chairs, I I started here:

and in the end decided to not use any paint at all, leaving the wood as is and to go with this fabric:

I just love how they turned out! They’re neutral enough that I have options for using them in other rooms and different pillows to change them up now and then. (All of you who change your decor as much as I do know how important that is!)

I didn’t end up taking the settee in yet but that’s next so stay tuned.

I’ll say it again: reupholstering is so much fun!

Ab.so.lute.ly gorgeous!! Oh, I am so psyched for you that they turned out so amazingly–definitely worth the wait, non?
Very inspiring–you are the poster girl for the power of upholstery. :)

Just right! I appreciate you didn’t paint the frames and love the fabric, a really nice mix! This reminds me however, I talked about a similar chair redo over a year ago and it still sits in my garage! Time to get moving…Janell

Perhaps so… but it was worth the wait – they look stunning. I am so glad you did not paint them. Instead the fabric gave the wood new life and a purpose!

    5 stars my friend!

I’m glad you decided not to paint the frames! The fabric looks great with them, just the boost they needed. It’s a proof for me that sometimes we just need time to let the ideas cook…
