La Maison Champs-Elysées, Paris
I just learned that Martin Margiela designed a hotel in Paris. One of my all time favorite fashion designers + a hotel + Paris? I flipped out when I heard the news. And when I saw these first photos, I really flipped out. La Maison Champs-Elysées is scheduled to open in a few weeks and here is a first peek.
I’m going back to Paris in a couple of weeks and I’ve already booked my hotel but you can bet I will be paying La Maison Champs-Elysées a visit!

First I am very jealous you are going back to Paris in a few weeks…..so jealous, but have a great time! This hotel looks so neat, its so “gallery-ish”, if you go hope you will share with us all the juicy details!

I don’t think it’s open yet – still a couple more weeks…..
Alarms would sound and doors would lock if my family approached this hotel! I like the murals and the punches of black. I don’t like the way the white was done. To me it doesn’t feel peaceful,airy or comfortable. It feels clinical and out of balance. Also, it would be hard to maintain that many slip covers in a public setting. I imagine they will be redecorating soon out of sheer practicality. However, this is just my opinion, and no one in France asked for it!
