Warm and Homey Loft

While I’ve learned to embrace and appreciate my new traditional surroundings, the ex-New Yorker in me still goes gaga for lofts. Often lofts can be very cool and not exactly homey or cozy. But this Tribeca loft, the home of architect Diana Kellogg, is really warm and inviting while remaining industrial.

I think this has convinced me to go ahead with painting the brick fireplace white.

You know I approve of all the art walls!

My favorite part is how she preserved so much of the original architectural details, fixtures and character of the building.

If I click my heels together…can I be in that cool space
I love it.
You are so right about this loft being homey! The colors are so warm, the wood floor…and the kitchen, love it!!
I’ve loved that first photo for a while. So nice to finally see where it comes from!
very, very wonderful…
Oh…I too have a secret fascination with lofts! This one is no less than SUPERB!
Oh my word, what a place! I love everything about it – from that insane vaulted ceiling to the dynamics of the space itself. Wow and Yum!

I don’t live in a loft, but a 100 year old French style apartment in Buenos Aires. I am so in love with these rooms that I intend to do as much as I can to copy them here
chau, besos ! C
Your apartment sounds lovely – just my cup of tea!
beautifully designed but still feels an inviting space. this makes me want to trade in my dc rowhouse for a nyc loft.
oh that lat photo, I love those windows.
that place is such a fantasy.
This place is flippin’ perfection! Yeah. What else can I say? Love it!
Love, Love, Love this home. I am packing my stuff up right now. You don’t think she would mind if I kicked her out do you???
I painted my brick fireplace a creamy white two years ago and have never regretted it for a single second! It made such a huge difference in how the space felt. Still homey, but much more contemporary and no longer stuck in the 80s. I say go for it!!
I think it’s the city girl in me that just can’t resist a loft. So beautiful!
these are amazing! i so want to live in all of them!
Oh my! That one is beautiful.
All of those wood beams and brick are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

The brick, the beams, the entire loft… Stunning!
oh wow – this is so stunning!!
This space is just stunning! Wood ceilings, curved ceilings, the white brick… it’s the perfect base.
Love the moody kitchen and yes the art walls. I am struggling SO much with mine.
Very, very nice.
I have always wanted a winebar/bistro feel dining area. I swear it is the brick.
Hope all is well with you!
