Ultimate Wish List Item: deGournay Wallpaper
If you’re new to my Ultimate Wish List series, it’s where I catalog all those big ticket items that I’ve loved forever that I know I want one day. Earlier Ultimate Wish List items can be found here and here.
I’ve blogged about deGournay wallpaper before and how I didn’t know how I would ever choose a pattern from all the choices. Then last week, I opened up the new Elle Decor and there it was:
right in the table of contents, before I even got to the features. After I stopped hyperventilating, I went straight to the article and I was so happy to see another shot of the space:
It’s a very traditional, very deGournay pattern but the two-tone feels fresh to me. I also love that the two tones happen to be blue and gold.
Ignoring the walllpaper for just a moment, how much do you love that gold light fixture, those chairs and the massive mirror? I’m dying over here. It’s just all too good.

Luckily the only reason I am saved from ordering this fabulously,gorgeous paper is we have no proper wall surfaces for it otherwise my diningroom would be there in an instant!

I am obsessed with DeGournay wallpaper. It’s totally out of my budget, so I’m waiting to land a client who will go for it! I’m also having a love affair with those brass chiavari chairs!

Absolutely stunniing!! When I was looking at Anthro’s new wallpapers, I was very drawn to the organic/nature, yet modern feeling ones…this one surpases all!

The wallpaper is stunning, but so is that woman. I hope it’s that baby’s aunt because she’s making me feel bad. I don’t look like that and my baby is already 2!
De Gournay will always be at the top on my wish list – the “I WISH it wasn’t so expensive list.” Sigh. Maybe one day . . . that’s why they call them wishes, right?

That’s an utterly beautiful DeGournay pattern. I’d paper ny whole house in their creations if I could, and that’s despite being a bit anti-wallpaper in general. I haven’t been round Blogtopia in a while due to pesky hard work, so I’m glad to be back here and catching up. Nice to see you getting into your Christmas swing!
