Design Notes from Singapore

Here is a bit more design inspiration for you from my trip. You all know how much I  love a good hotel. Well, so many stylish new hotels have opened in Singapore in recent years, I just had to set aside some time to visit a few of them.

We didn’t stay at the Saff or Klapsons but design-wise, I loved them. The Saff looked like it was just completing renovations and looked great. I blogged about Klapsons a while back and I have to say it looks even better in person. The G Hotel, which is near the Saff, also looked pretty stylish. Both are housed in charming old colonial houses.

We ended up staying at the Four Seasons at the beginning of our trip. It had nice rooms and great service – what you’d expect from a Four Seasons. We also had to overnight in Singapore for a night after Malaysia so we tried out the brand new Marina Bay Sands.

The hotel was fine – the complex is HUGE – but the reason to stay there is definitely the infinity pool. It’s on the top of the complex (57 floors up), overlooking the whole city. Absolutely amazing.

These and a few more photos from Singapore can be found on my Flickr account.

I hope you’re all enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend. See you Monday!

Thank you! I now can’t wait to go and check out the Saff, Klapsons and that fabulous infinity pool. My extended family all live in Singapore but I only get to go back every couple of years. Every time I do I am taken aback at how much change has occurred on such a small island.

Glad that you stayed in lovely digs while in Singapore. I love hearing good things about the Four Seasons, my husband has worked for them since 1983. A very long time. Over the years we have stayed in many of their hotels… the hotel staff is always so welcoming and wonderful.

Absolutely stunning! Raffles is my dad’s favourite place to stay there, I’ve never been but would love to go. (Although, he brought me a Raffles umbrella as a souvenir – gifting is not really his strong point ;) )
That pool is incredible, what a view!

So glad you’re back, looks like you had an amazing time!
