Yellow Dining Chairs On My Mind
I know exactly how it began. Earlier this year, I fell madly in love with this room in Elle Decor. (This house is still one of my all-time favorites.)
Then I saw this room in House Beautiful:
(We’re ignoring the sea horses.)
And most recently, I was wowed by this room in Veranda:
What do they have in common? Yellow dining room chairs. I’m obsessed. It’s taking every bit of strength I have not to chuck my dining room chairs and replace them with yellow ones like these. I don’t know how much longer I can hold out . . .

stunning… gorgeous… light… airy and so very cheerful! I adore yellow and must admit I have never even given it a thought to use it in the dining room!
Saw mustard on another blog this morning – reminds me of a living room I painted in Gervaise Yellow (Farrow and Ball), not an easy colour to carry but it was fabulous.
I agree, best to ignore the sea horses!

They are bright and cheery. I love it. I love yellow when it is done right and these are done right…esp the first one. Love that room.
I really love the last photo… It’s the unexpected pop of yellow on the back of the chair … it’s not too much… just enough happiness to bring the room to life!
I saw that Veranda cover and that’s what had me decide to get mine done in yellow (well the bottoms anyway). Great post, I love yellow!

Yellow is my fav color and those are kick butt chairs-
Now I need to re-do my whole dinning room!

I’m rigth there with you, and Miss Killam who did her chair bottoms in yellow. I got easy chairs to upholster so I might try the same!
lovely. You crack me up about the seahorses. I do love them with the white but I am also a fan of bright colored chairs with an old farmhouse table. That’s always been my dream.
