Wallpaper for the Dressing Room

I have fantasized about having a dressing room forever and in the new house I got my wish. It’s not nearly as grand as Aerin Lauder’s (above) but I’m thrilled to finally have one. There’s one blank wall in there that I’ve been wanting to wallpaper but thus far, I hadn’t been able to decide on one.

Well, the other day I was unpacking some more boxes (yes, I’m still unpacking) and I came across these papers that I had forgotten I had:

The story on these is that about a year or so ago, I was at the local Lowe’s in Seattle and saw that they were clearing out a bunch of their wallpaper. I had no need for any of it but they were practically giving it away so I grabbed the ones that I thought I might use some day.

I think this blue/taupe floral and scroll pattern one is perfect for the dressing room. And to think I didn’t even have to leave the house for it! Sometimes, it pays to be a hoarder. :)   I plan on tackling this project in the next week or two so stay tuned!

    I am with Stacy, who knew that Lowes had such great wall paper? So, we will all wait for the DIY wallpaper project. Have fun.

    I think that paper will look lovely Ally. I have wanted & wanted to paper my walk-in closet, but could never find a paper that I loved that I could afford. I was holding out. Got my capiz shell chandelier hanging in there, but it's lonely look grand all on its on. Now it's on the market so i guess paper issue is mute! Be sure to show off how great it will look! xx

    Glad to hear you are still unpacking! I have boxes everywhere. My two neighbors, who moved in at the same time as me (two weeks ago by the way) are all unpacked. Pictures hung, chickens and potatoes roasting in the oven. WHAT??? I spend half my day going back and forth to the hardware store looking for the right screws for my IKEA Grundtal shelf….UGH!

    I love that you have a dressing room!! Has been a dream of mine since we moved from a fabulous place a few years ago that had a stunning walk in robe, dressing area and ensuite bathroom. Our current place has no such luxuries and I am dreaming of one..

    The inspiration picture is fantastic. The chinoiserie wallpaper is heaven. Who is it by?

    Your floral paper is beautiful too and yes, I think it will look perfect. I agree that hoarding is an art and blessing at times. :)

    Can't wait to see your 'reveal pictures'.
