Ultimate Wish List Item: Beni Ouarain Rug
The second item on what I call my Ultimate Wish List is a Beni Ouarain rug. (If you missed it, my first item is here.) Beni Ourain are a tribe from the Atlas Mountains and you can read more about them and their weaving tradition here and here.
I have been coveting one of these for some time but given their white background and hefty price tag, I would have a heart attack every time my dogs got near it. (They seem to find a way to get their paws muddy at every turn.)
Here are two rooms I posted before with one of these rugs. I still love them both:
Until I figure out a solution for the muddy paws, I think it’ll just have to stay on the List.

Oh my gosh, the rug really makes each of those rooms! Now I want one too. I also would love to have a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk!
I have a file on these too! Stop in my tracks whenever I see one. But yea, with dogs… no way!

My life would be so much easier without muddy paws (12 paws in the househould right now). I have to be careful about flooring selection, too! These rugs are gorgeous and I'm loving the bright yellow rooms. Yellow is looking so modern now, don't you think?
Love these gorge images! The rugs are to die for. What's on my wish list right now? Probably clothes ( i know right?!!) —getting excited to get some new fall tops and bottoms!

Yes, completely on my wish list. For a little while Nate sold his version on HGTV for under $600 but i couldn't figure out a solution for my 4 year old's muddy paws either!!!

Beautiful rugs! They are so timeless. On my wishlist is a daybed/window seat for my living room. I still have not found the perfect one — at a reasonable price

I can't even remember all the things on my wish list, probably because I have two lists. One for our friend/handyman/man who can fix EVERYthing and another for decor. I get lost in my lists and my electronic mood boards

A Beni Ouarain rug is a great one to lust over. I'm still @ that basic stage, would love a pair of Barcelona chairs, black please. I think my wish-list is growing faster than I can fill it!
