Reader’s Question: Wall Hangings from the Rug Company
Today, we have another reader question. Both the Q&A are short and sweet.
QUESTION
What a nice blog you have, I have a question, have you seen this Union Jack, any chance you know where to buy it?
Have a great day!
vh, Cecilie
ANSWER
The wall hanging is called “Jubilee” and it is by Lucinda Chambers for The Rug Company.
And even though Cecilie didn’t ask about these, I thought I’d also point out that the Rug Company makes other hangings that you’ve probably seen a lot. Like “Vishnu” by Matthew Williamson:

“Love Too” by Paul Smith, made famous in Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment makeover in SATC1:

I think I like the first “Love” by Paul Smith even more:

You can see the whole collection of wallhangings here.
If you have a design question or would like my opinion on something for possible posting here, please click here. It may take me a while but I’ll answer as many as I can.

Love that Union Jack and all of Paul Smith's designs. The Rug Company is fab!

Oh my goodness, I love them! I just requested a price list to see how much these babies cost…probably way out of my price range!!

These are fabulous and look like DIY waiting to happen. I wish I had a little time to create one……You have got my mind going for this.

Hmmm, your posts are looking very weird in my Google Reader. The reader question appeared, but then instead of photos, it shows a line of bullets, as in a bulleted list. Weird!
I do like those Love wall hangings. Very nice!

the one titled SATC1 is really interesting. Appears to have the old antique chinese water and mountain motif around the perimeter. Love the photos, keep up the good work!
I’m crazy for the “Love Too” wall hanging! All our beautiful. I love Q and A’s!

Shannon: I can't remember the price but they are on the pricey side.
Tonia: I never thought to make my own but I think you're on to something.
Erin: Thanks for letting me know. I see that too – I'm going to look into it now.

Wall Hangings are increasingly being bought under fair trade including stuff that is green (recycled etc). Check out some of the cool, stuff at Green N Brown (www.greennbrown.com)
Wow — great post! I had no idea the Rug Company makes these wall hangings, although I'm not surprised — super cool and edgy. Thanks for sharing. — Jennifer
