Quick Question for You
[Update: Thanks to everyone who's taken the poll so far. I'll keep it open for a week and let you know the results next week.]
I’d love your feedback on something today. I’m working on just about every room in my house right now (with the exception of the basement. Too scary.) and I started wondering whether you might be interested in seeing these rooms in progress.
I usually post rooms as they’re finished because I think just seeing the hot mess that usually precedes them (without a big “After” shot of the whole room) would be boring. But what do I know?
So, I’d like to ask you: do you want to see bits and pieces as I’m working on rooms? Or do you want to see everything when it’s done? I’d love to hear from as many of you as possible so if you have a second, could you take this poll? Thanks!

Shocker that I like to see the progress…since I'm NEVER done…I like seeing how things evolve in people's heads and the changes they make to their spaces along the way….esp with your travels…how you perhaps rearrange a room around a new found object…all good to me!

Sometimes I like seeing things in progress, but it could get a little boring, maybe little teasers here and there and the big reveal with all the little details.

I think there is so much to be learned by seeing the process of decorating/renovating rooms…and would love to see yours!

i love seeing all the thought that goes into a room…and find the initial "mistakes" one of the most enlightening!
i'd definitely like to see some of your works-in-progress.
If something big occurs, or you learned a lesson, or made a big change in direction, or something like that, then progress posts could be fun and interesting. Otherwise, I think I prefer to see the before and after all together.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, whatever you got I want a peek! I love seeing a space come alive and I have no doubt that your transformations will be nothing short of stunning!
Hope you are well.

big reveals are more dramatic, but I think the process is the most interesting part.

Welllll, I agree that showing the process photos without the 'ta-da' finished photo is a little hard to stomach (because people always judge before the space is done.. even if they say they're not, they are.) BUT, considering you have an incredible platform of talented readers hoovering all around, you might get some feedback or ideas that you wouldn't have thought of.. so I'd say do it. Show your makup-less spaces!! You just might end up with an entirely different outcome..

i love seeing things in progress. it gives me an idea of how it all comes together.
Yes absolutely.
ally, i voted to see things in progress. although just before & after reveals are great, i always want to know more about the details… why did you choose that paint? why that chair? why that fabric? which came first? pam

PROGRESS! I only have one room in my house that I "saved" for a big reveal and its killing me. I want to just put it out there already!

I love seeing the "in between" of renovations. The good, the bad and the ugly. It's also great to have it documented too for future reference so that you can actually see what you went through to get the amazing end result. Have fun with your renovations. I can't wait to see them. -Cristi
I like to see the process, all the little details that make up the big project- I love those kinds of posts.
Love the process. Especially love seeing the different approaches people take to problems (they're inevitable, right?!)

Personally I like the big reveal at the end but that said I do like little sneak peeks of small details. Say like a new light fixture or a new chair etc.

In progress!! I voted and am seconding that vote here.
IN PROGRESS!!
I want to see messes, missteps, and mistakes!
Besides for the encouragement of seeing someone I admire go through the nitty gritty of decorating, there are also the learning and cool discoveries that go along with the process.
