Paris in New York
***I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on with my feeds so please excuse any weirdness with this post today.***
Carolina Herrera Creative Director Herve Pierre’s Manhattan apartment has been featured here and there over the years and when New York Magazine published it last week, it seemed to have stirred up interest in it all over again. I know it has for me.

I love his attention to detail, his color choices and the fact that it’s slightly cluttered and playful yet still very elegant. What do you think?

What a lovely place – there's something of the grown-up fairy tale about it, and so many humorous touches. I love the purple Shakespeare (?) over the purple sofa.

I love most of it, but some of it is a little over the top.
Some great stuff, just a LOT of it in a small space. I'm afraid I would feel a bit overwhelmed, but that's just me.

this is one of those places that i find beautiful to look at but i think it would overwhelm me to live in it! i love that though…lots of ideas and inspiration to be had (especially all those great pink hat boxes!!)

Good taste runs in the family, I guess. I still have magazine pics from years ago of Carolina Herrera Jr's pied a terre in B.A. …she, like her mother, has IMPECCABLE taste.
gorgeous details in there, from colour to furniture. love the baroque frame with two simple frames within. i'll bear that one in mind.

I think that this is one of my favorite posts, ever, Ally! What a spectacular space—there are so many details to pick up and adore…like the hat boxes, artwork, moulding, frame, extensive moulding, and more….

Wow – that's a lot to take in. Although I can appreciate the skilful eye to put this together, I prefer more spare rooms myself. I do love that purple settee, however.
