On the DVR

Most of the home and design shows have sort of blurred together for me but there are three new shows and one old one that I make a point of taping.

Peeking into fabulous New York real estate is my idea of fun and that’s just what you get to do with Selling New York. This show reminds me why I’ll be moving back to New York someday.

Second, 9 by Design. I find their laid-back style formidable, whether it’s decorating or parenting. I’m in awe of what Courtney gets done in a single day.

Sarah Richardson’s style isn’t exactly my own but I love a good renovation. I also enjoy Tommy.

And my favorite show for several years now has been House Hunters International. Not every episode is a winner but whenever they go to locales like Italy, Bali and Argentina, it fuels my desire to collect homes around the world.

I’ve been meaning to catch Man Shops Globe but can never seem to find it. Have you seen it? Would you recommend it?

And what do you think about Dooce coming to HGTV? When is that happening? Will you be watching? What else are you watching these days?

I watched man shops globe all of the last season. Keith can be very annoying, but the places he travel to and people he meets makes it so worth it. Really like 9 by design and am excited to look for the rest.

I've yet to watch the first one, but I've heard so

many good things about it. Clearly it's time to tune in! As for the other's, I'm a fan as well. I have to agree with g. with regard to Man Shops Globe. He can be

such a sourpuss, but that hasn't kept me from being a fan. I don't think it's on right now. Only the first season.

Just caught up with design by nine this weekend…had not seen an episode. LOVE many of the house hunter international…need to check out the other two…in all my free time (rolls eyes). Thanks.

Oh, I have such a love/hate with Novogratzes, LOVE what they do and they design ethic, hate them out of jealousy for being so darn perfect! I'm so glad you stopped by Little Blue Deer so I could find you!

Can't get enough of Sarah's House and my daughter and I watch Selling New York. She is fascinated with the prices! And then all those kids, lordy, makes me realize I have an extremely peaceful life!! Janell

I love Selling NY! I need to DVR the 9byDesign as I always miss it for some reason. Not a big fan of House Hunters Int'l and I've never heard of Man Shops Globe or the new one you've mentioned. I do like Sarah Richardson. Why are all the good individual designers' shows on Canadian HGTV? (Sarah, Candice)

I have to admit that I totally don't watch design shows. Until 9 By Design. I enjoy that one. I have always enjoyed House Hunters International whenever I catch it though… maybe I should DVR.

The regular House Hunters drives me nuts. Hate It. Seems like every buyer has bad taste and wants their house Big, Bigger and Biggest. America at its worst.

    OK, please excuse my rant.

The last two are two of my favorite shows to watch on HGTV, and House Hunters International is currently on my TV, what a coincidence :P

I don't get tired of watching them again and again and again.

Ooooh, I have never seen selling NY. I'll have to add that to the list. I love 9 by Design and House Hunters International. I watched Man Shops Globe, and it's good because it's fun see someone's creative process, but I would much rather be there. I want to be an international buyer so badly! Can you even imagine!? Dreamy.

I've got 2/4 on the DVR too. I love 9 by design because if they can do all of that with 7 kids, then my 3 kids and full time job are a breeze. I do find a lot of their design impractical because of kids, but I am starting to realize that the kids will grow up and can live in such elements. I love Sarah's House because I am burning for a renovation, but have to live vicariously through hers. And Tommy is a hoot.

These sights look really interesting, especially House Hunters International. I must have a look at that one. I'm afraid that I don't know the programme that you are talking about. We don't get that one over here. I watch any 'home' programme that I can….much to my husbands annoyance…especially when I watch the repeats !!!! We have lots of them and there is a new one called 'The Restoration Man' who goes and finds really unusual restoration projects. XXXX

Oh, House Hunters International is my new favorite addiction. I’m not even embarrassed to admit that my friend and I stayed in on a Saturday night not too long ago just to watch a HHI Marathon. Don’t worry, wine was involved.

  13. Amy

These are also on my DVR. I also have to add Take It Outside and Ask Genevieve to the list (I guess I watch more HGTV than I should).

Sarah's House is my favorite of the decorating shows. Her style doesn't match up with mine, but I enjoy the transformations and the banter between her and her sidekick.

The Dooce thing gets on my nerves. I'll just leave it at that.
