Moodboard for the Office
I’ve been creating little “moodboards” to gather ideas for all the rooms in our new house. I say “moodboards” in quotes because they’re not actual boards; they’re magazines, books, clippings, etc. laid out all over the floor in my office.
This is what I’m thinking for my office – big hits of yellow with some blue, a little black & white and a smidge of pink thrown in. The pages are from Côté Paris, Livingetc., Elle Décoration France, Elle Decor and the book Simply Scandinavian, which I’ll be reviewing later this week.

i love looking at moodboards that fabulous designers like yourself have created, but i've not really made one myself. there is something about them though, i could look at them for hours.

That particular shade of blue gives a rich Dutch Painting chic to interiors when used alongside pink and yellow – it should make a lovely office.

Interesteing that you are using some Finnish interiors as inspiration.
Before I did read the text, I noted Finnish artist Kuutti Lavonen's painting on one of the pages of Simply Scandinavian and Eero Saarinen's tulip table and chairs on pages of Elle Decor France.

pretty far west: I didn't see the Dutch painting aspect of it so thanks for pointing that out. I'm a fanatic for the Dutch masters so I guess the influence was there without me even realizing it. Pretty fascinating!
