This Weekend: My Loot & A Blogger Event
I don’t think I’ve mentioned how much I’m liking Atlanta so far. I noticed right away how everyone seems to be into design and decor here. (My kind of people!) And this means unbelievably fabulous shopping. I’ve started making the rounds but really, I haven’t even made a dent in what the city has to offer.
Everywhere I turn, there also seems to be an antique market of some sort and I finally made my way to some this weekend – presumably to look for light fixtures – but here’s what I came home with instead:

A table base. I actually need some side tables (yes, need as opposed to want) and with a little polish and glass top, this one will be perfect in either the living room or our bedroom. It even has its “Made in Italy” tag intact:

I also found this lovely impressionist style oil painting:

The artist is unknown but the scene is unmistakeably a Paris street so naturally, I was drawn to it. It’s just hanging out in the kitchen now until I find the perfect place for it.
Also over the weekend, I had the chance to meet some of the loveliest local bloggers and designers at a dinner hosted by Sferra and Ronda Carman of All the Best. In attendance were: Holly of Things that Inspire, Millie of Brilliant Asylum, Helen and Jane of Whitehaven, Shameeka of The Broke Socialite, Niki of Yummy Scrumptious, Brian of Decor Demon, and Jill Sharp. It was a really wonderful evening full of great conversation, good food and I was thrilled to have been a part of it. Thank you, Ronda!
Sferra and All the Best are also hosting an event tonight in Atlanta at Mrs. Howard and it promises to be another great night so if you’re in Atlanta, here are the details:

Unfortunately, I can’t make it so if you go, you’ll have to report back, okay?

I love the table base, I want it.
I am happy you attended the gathering with Rhonda, it sounds like it was a blast.

Ha Ha! Your table bases identical twin is living in my house! It's exact, down to the made in Italy tag and the "I've seen the world and don't I still look glamorous" patina. I thought I would shine mine up too, but after having it in my living room for a bit, she's actually quite happy with a bit of history on her.
enjoy!

That event must have been so fun. Finding myself a bit jealous of all the fun everyone in Atlanta always seems to be having in blogland! (or is it the other way around?) Anyway, love your finds! The table base is amazing, and that painting probably looks perfect right where it is!

The painting looks great. I'm envious of your trip – I would love to go antiquing in Atlanta, meet some fun bloggers and enjoy some warmer weather than what we have going on here! Marija
