The Office

Did I tell you about our movers? They started out awesome. They hustled and hauled everything into the house super fast and everyone was happy. Then they started unpacking. Oy vay. Let’s just say, it would have been better if they had left everything in their boxes. Despite my best efforts to organize everything ahead of time, nothing is where it should be and it’s especially bad in my office. Well, yesterday I decided it was the day to tackle it. But when faced with the disaster before me, I decided I needed more inspiration so I went online and found these:

After that, it was time for dinner so I never made it back into the office. Maybe today . . .

My mental image of you is decidedly fuzzy, but I can definitely see it sitting (fuzzily) at the desk in beautiful image number 4 there. There's an element of the Parisian Grande Dame of Blogging about it which would suit you perfectly. I must just pop off to edge my own curtains thus.

Ha! Well, I'm sure you'll get there… All in good time. I love that second shot – I'm completely smitten with the way the (magazine pages?) are arranged on the wall… Not so smitten with the mess on the floor, but that's just me. OCD, you say? Why yes, of course. But I'll tolerate it for the sake's of styling. ;)

    xo,

That is one way to get the job done…they unpacked for you? That certainly would modivate me to organize! After moving my boxes sat for over a year in the garage until just recently. They, and their contents, were very easy to ignore.

mise: I love that title you've bestowed upon me! Oh, but the pressure to live up to it . . .

Dagny: I remember! :) Wedding definitely takes priority over office!

Lucy: Thank you for the link. I can't wait to check it out.

Janell: Yes, unpacking was part of the deal. In hindsight, we might have been better off if hadn't been!

That last one for Elle Decor is way too clean and neat to be someone's real office. I prefer more lived in office space, like the one with bits of paper strewn about on the floor. That's more my style.

That last photo makes me swoon. I want to recreate for myself SO badly.

Hope you manage to get everything organized quickly. I hate when my stuff is in a jumble after moving. It's hard to be settled and harder to find what you need. Good luck!

beautiful thing in here: the wall lamp on the last shot is beautiful; the black walls with all those photos on the wall, very inspiring (i've my walls full of colourful post it and photographs); the mix of white and woodedn furniture gives so much character. love this post!
