What an improvement in the kitchen nook - I love it! And I love all that glass and the horizontal slats on the walls. What a beautiful spot to sit and chill before the day really begins.

You guys are making lots of progress. The difference in the kitchen without that heavy fixture is amazing! That eat-in space is just fantastic, with the horizontal paneling and those giant french doors and windows. Redi-shades are quite handy, I've used them in almost every one of our houses when we first moved in. One word of caution - if you're using them in the hot summer months, don't leave them up for more than a month or two because the sticky adhesive can bake onto the paint and will pull the paint off of your trim or worse, paper remnants stick to your trim and you have to sand smooth and repaint. We learned that the hard way!

Great decision on the light. I think it was too big.

Good luck!
