Pillowpalooza + Moving Update

I recently brought home another pillow. (Who buys more pillows when they’re about to move???) Anyway, behold my latest acquisition:
How can anyone resist rosettes? (The pillow is actually a lighter, cream color and the rosettes are closer together in real life. Swoon.)
While I am at it, I’d like to show you some pillows that I have been coveting for such a long time that I can’t believe they’re not already in my house.
The Union Jack by Vivienne Westwood for the Rug Company:
the Zigzag from Madeline Weinrib:
Orla Kiely’s Multi Stem
and her Cross Hatch Stem:
and finally, the Paris pillow from catstudio.
Being a big traveler, I have an affinity for old school souvenirs and this is inspired by the souvenir pillows of the 1930’s so I’m finding it hard to resist. Plus I keep seeing it everywhere. I even saw it in Paris this spring.
But really, I should be focusing on something a little more important right now such as . . .
THE BIG MOVE
I am currently in the midst of organizing the household for the move, selling our current house, planning the cross country road trip, trying to fit in time with friends, and oh, about a hundred other things. Frazzled would be a good description of my current state.
So starting tomorrow, some very good blogger friends will be stepping in for me here over the next month (bless ‘em!) with me popping in now and then to say hello. You are in for a treat because these are some of the funniest, sweetest and most stylin’ peeps I know and whom I’m sure you already know and love.

The first two pillows on your list are on my list too! Especially that Union Jack. I’ve been coveting that beauty for quite some time.
I hope all is coming along smoothly in preparation for your big move. I can’t imagine all the details that you have to attend to! Do take a break and put your feet up along the way. Or, better yet, treat yourself to another pretty pillow! ;0). Afterall, it’s practically a necessity. You’ll need somewhere to lay your pretty head on the long car ride
down!

The Paris pillow is wonderful – it’s as though a talented graffiti artist and a classy French cushion had been left alone in a room together. Definitely one for your new house.
Good luck sorting everything out – I’m sure you’ll tackle the mayhem with your usual aplomb.

I have Cat Studio’s Atlanta pillow. So, you need a pair! Buy both Paris and Atlanta! I love the Union Jack pillow most. It’s just brilliant.

that rose pillow is adorable!!! ahhh i love that you love pillows as much as me. only thing is i won’t spend a lot on them so i miss out on faboo pillows like the ones above.

I would sit with the first one on the airplane if I had to! And the Union Jack pillow is fantastic as well. (I am on the hunt for a UJ rug).

AH! We have two of the Catstudio pillows, the Washington edition. Paul’s parents picked them up on a road trip. They’re huge, cozy and great conversation pieces!
So sad you’re already packing up to go….I was just thinking the other day about our penchant for drift wood and that I’m going to try to get up to Whidbey soon to hunt for some. Hope the move prep goes well!
