Orla Kiely’s Studio
September 28, 2009 | 14 comments

Hi, everyone, what a crazy weekend it’s been! I’m home from Atlanta which, if you’ve never been, is a very cool town. (Thank you, nkp, for all of the great info!) I’m feeling a bit frazzled trying to catch up on a million things today but one of the things on my mind is getting my studio in order. (Raina: skip this next part!) I’ve loved Orla Kiely’s studio since I first saw it and it’s inspiring me again to pretty up in there. I love that it’s pretty but also looks like she really works in there. Plus, I just love all the Orla Kiely loveliness!
I also have to say a big thank you to all of you for your support at Apartment Therapy! I’m really touched that so many of you took the time to leave me kind comments there and also here. I believe a couple of more of my posts will be published and then a decision will be made. I’ll definitely keep you posted!
I hope that with all the hoopla this weekend, you didn’t miss my exclusive interview with Vicente Wolf. I’m still kind of on a high from that one.
Thank you all again so much! You’re the best readers and friends this blogging girl could ask for!

I am a mad keen Orla Kiely fan too, and I love this image of her studio. I’m lucky enough to sell her bags and bedlinen in my store, but this only makes me more Orla obsessive. I am enjoying your blog! Good luck with the Apartment Therapy thing!

I love that studio too especially the emerald green cabinets, a little bit of industria next to all the other bits and pieces. And it looks pretty organised as well. How I would love a room of my own to do as I wish in.

That’s how a studio/office should be: extreme order, one area of work-in-progress for creativity, a display of inspirational/decorative items, and large bright windows. The heaps of books look a bit staged, but otherwise it’s perfect.

I love everything about this space, it truly feels like a great place to create. The pop of apple green, large windows and charming pup make it a perfect studio! Thanks for sharing and hope that you have a fabulous day!

I love this space….. loads of light and that little dash of green, but, if I have to be honest, my favourite part is the dog !!!! He is so cute.I love the expression in his/her face…he’s looking at the mannequin as if to say ‘this studio is not big enough for the both of us’ XXXX XXXX

Hey Alek-
Love that studio, love the green! Congrats big time on the AT blogging, I saw your house on there yesterday. As for the people that bash your house,
seriously, people? whatever dudes. psycho therapy, NOT apartment therapy is what people need that go on blog to bash other people’s homes.
Glad you enjoyed Atlanta & the loft tour. I voted for that 2 terrace house to win best in show! what fun! Post on the roof top garden scheduled for tomorrow. L-L-L-Loved it!
