Me At Apartment Therapy?

Hi, guys, I’m just popping in for a minute because I just got an email and had to share the news. It’s kind of a long story but I’ll try to be as brief as possible. A while back, my girl K-Line gave me the heads up that Apartment Thearapy was looking for a blogger in the Pacific Northwest to join their team. I sent in an application which consisted of some test posts and guess, what?  I’m now one of the finalists. As part of their decision making process, they’re publishing our test posts.  My first post (a tour of my own house) is now up so if you have a minute, I’d love for you to pop over and comment. You have to register first but it’s pretty quick and painless. If you’re familiar with AT, you know that the comments can get pretty brutal and there’s one pretty angry comment already.  Apparently my house is all “wrong.” (I find it kind of amusing that people can get so hostile about other people’s houses.)  Anyway, thanks for your support! Oh and one last thing, I have a million nicknames, one of which is Ally, so don’t be confused! [Update: It seems the harsh comment was deleted after some very nice people (whom I don't even know) came to my defense. Well, it was fun while it lasted! And I'm sure there will be others . . . ]

    I saw that evil comment and I was going to get all up his ass but then I realized, it is a really brutal community there where everyone speaks his/her mind (no matter how intensely rude). I say, if you don't like someone's pic, keep your mouth shut (esp. if you don't know the person/follow the blog). Glad others jumped in and now the comment is gone. Seriously, your house is so beautiful, it's laughable that he left that comment.

    P.S. What is it about Apartment Therapy that makes some people say cruel things? How about just saying "not my cup of tea" rather than insulting others? Some people are just so small and have no class. Pay no attention to that ugly little person who left the neg comment!

    Congrats Alek, that is so exciting. I never have understood why people have to be so hateful. Guess not to many go by the golden rule any more. "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all". Because you know "what goes around comes around. Have a lovely weekend and good luck!!
