Hello, Dream House

Remember how I had found my dream house oh, what was it? Like not even two month ago? Well, move over Tattoo House because I have a new love. I never said I wasn’t fickle.

I saw this one at Design Shimmer last week and fell head over heels with each and every room so I asked permission to re-blog it.

All the white with gray and black and just a few pops of bright colors. It’s PERFECTION.

Look at that simple bookshelf and you know how much I love a window seat!

The one yellow chair just kills me.

Do you think I could persuade the owners to trade houses with me?

Oh, it doesn't look that much from the outside, but boy does it pack a punch on the inside! Absolutely gorgeous! I'd move in in a heartbeat. Lee

That is divine. Where is it? Looks a bit like the new bit of our house actually. And those shelves how do they work? What happens when you pull a book out? Do they all tumble to the ground?

Love all the natural light here. Such a beautiful design. x

Yes, those books – they look wonderful, colour coordinated and all. You'd definitely have inner peace in abundance in that house. It's so much a coherent vision, not just a mishmash of what someone likes. I'd gladly live there.

Great taste Alek, it's absolutely gorgeous! I love to hear how excited others can get about a home since I do the same thing. Hello lover is right!
I'm drawn to the red rug in the 2nd and 3rd images, a new love for me as I usually favor the sisal look.

Where to begin! Oh that glorious pile-up of rugs, so casually strewn, but what an impact in that stark simple space. And the window seat, love it! But the window itself and the drama it creates on the facade of the house, wowza!

Goodness, I'm in love with that dining room. And I really like how the books become a focal point instead of clutter. It's so lovely!

This is a wonderful house and I wouldn't say no…but it is a little out of my comfort zone…I like a bit of old settees and cushions etc…and I do wonder how you get rid of the cobwebs in those lofty ceilings !!!!!!
BUT, I love the grey and white and the clean lines and I would like to try to live in a house like that, for a while…could you arrange that for me please ? XXXX

I think you could…take lots of pictures if they let you stay there!
This makes me seriously question my old Dutch Colonial. I so want sleek…, and keep saying that I just want to live in a box with big windows -and what an awesome box this is!

Did I just spy the coolest soaking tub ever outside on the deck? This house ROCKS! As soon as you are done with it, can I take it over?

Jane: I think it's in Scandinavia somewhere. And I think the bookshelves are several floating shelves so the stacks are only a few books each.
favorite and best: That's exactly what I thought! A totally appealing prospect.
Amy: Of course!
Dagny: Maybe that's what I need to get myself organized!
Melissa: Yes, it is! And yes, it's all yours when I'm done with it – but that might be a while!
That bookshelf is positively genius! I just adore this masterpiece of minimalist design & decor.
Cheers.

That's the great thing about dream houses. You can move as many times as you want.
