August To Do List and July Recap
Happy August, everyone. It’s the beginning of a new month so that means it’s time for my monthly to do list. Here’s how I did in July:
JULY TO DO LIST
1. Toss magazines older than 1 month. [I'm about halfway through. They just. Keep. Coming.]
2. Find an outdoor rug. [Decided we didn't need one after I completed #6.]
3. Clean all the filters in the house. Yuk. [Didn't get to all of them.]
4. Clean the chandelier. Double yuk.
5. Get a coil hose for the garden. [Thanks, Christy!]
6. Rearrange outdoor seating area.
7. Organize important documents and papers.
I really didn’t get very much done and the list is doing its job of making me feel very guilty about it! As usual, the unfinished July items go on the top of my August list.
AUGUST TO DO LIST
1. Toss magazines older than 1 month.
2. Clean the rest of the filters in the house.
3. Organize important documents and papers.
4. Move bookshelf into guest room.
5. Move sideboard to kitchen area.
6. Hang Tord Boontje curtains.
7. Move striped rug back to the living room.

Ha! I love lists. I especially love the items on a list which just keep moving from the firstlist to the next list because they never get done. I am thinking the last item (Organise Important Documents etc) is just way too broad to really ever be achieved. I think it has been on my list for 10 years! Or more. PS congrats on lovely awards. I love your blog. And I especially love the way a little pattern comes up against my name when I comment!

You have a long list. I love lists too. Reminds me everytime. If I don't have list then nothing much happen. Am going old that I forget everything I want to do.

Hi Alek. Lists! hmm I sometimes get list fanatic and then at other times let them slide. But I am sure if I had 'toss magazines more than 1 month old' on list, my list would be years and years old. I also think I would be shaming myself each month so good for you!Congratulations on awards, you certainly have a Lovely Blog!
I am the worst at organising important papers… I even hate opening the mail!

I have the hardest time tossing magazines. When I do make the attempt to purge them, I typically end up sitting down and re-reading them all again…and then deciding to keep them a bit longer. Good luck with your lists, you are very ambitious!
Oh yes, the dreaded lists! I love them, but mine keep being added one after another. In fact, my June list is now even larger with July and August to-do's! Oh well, at least it's pretty outside (yes, I needed something to make me forget about the 3 pages of must-complete items!).
