Tord Boontje Curtains

casasugar

I’ve been sitting on a pair of black Tord Boontje curtains like this one for a while now and am trying to figure out where to put them. Here are a few examples I’ve found that I like:

I like the idea of using them as a room divider but with the dogs, I don’t think that would be the wisest thing. (They’re made of tyvek.) So I’m thinking of using them on the window in the guest room or in our bedroom. Does anyone have any suggestions for a clever use of these?

    Dear Alek!

The curtains are fabulous – I think they look gorgeous in the bedroom!

Have enjoyed my visit to your terrific site! Hope you had a wonderful weekend – am still recovering from Saturday's Xmas in July blog party and my special giveaway (entry deadline July 31!)

Have a great week & see you again soon!

    xxLOL LOLA:)

I think these are beautiful, especially in the image with the open door. It's as if a flock of butterflies and tiny imaginary creatures just fluttered through the door. You've caught me before my morning coffee (i.e. my brain is useless), but I'll think on some possible creative uses. I bet they cast amazing shadows at night, perhaps that's something to consider.

I love these as well but thought the same thing being that I have cats.

I did imagine pressing them between glass or plexi and either setting it into a floor mount or hanging it. I haven't figured out the precise logistics.

I'm a fan of the shower curtain idea, but I can also see it used as a sort of upholstery for a headboard or framed and hung as art. What I love is that you can pair it with a great color and get a nice pop of texture!

If you've been sitting on them for a while, perhaps you're not as enamored with them as when they were first purchased. Maybe eBay or a (helluva) blog giveaway is in order.

No suggestions because if you decide to not use them…I'll gladly take them off your hands! :) Love this look on the window as a curtain!

Counting the days until Travel Thursday! :)

I love Tord Boontje{much easier to write than say!} I'm using some of his panels in my next shoot. That curtain would look great as a wall hanging on a grey wall!

oooooooh! these are so cool! sadly i can only imagine how quickly my cats would tear them to shreds while climbing up to the ceiling!

anywhoo, love them and hope maybe you can post a pic of them once they are installed and you are happy! maybe?

OMG, we do have the exact same taste! First the Target pillow and now this! I have these exact curtains (well, actually I have the white version but details, details). I put it in front of our front door. The door is glass and, at night, people walking past could potentially see up into our hall and dining room. So I wanted a little privacy but didn't want to block out the light. I also didn't want to use a proper curtain or blind because people arriving at the door would have to look at the lining. Oh, and I thought this was way cheaper than getting something custom made! It works perfectly – breaks up the dark rectangle of glass at night and lets the sun in by day. We don't have a dog but we have a toddler and, so far, it's stood up to him!

Good luck. I think it would make a great addition.
