My Outdoor Tabletop
Hello, all, how was your weekend? We had gorgeous weather here and it was finally warm enough (it was actually downright hot) for a little dinner party in the garden. Here’s a shot of the table as I was setting it. But it got so hot at this point, I had to take refuge in the house and then I forgot to take any more photos. Oops.
Some of you have asked for more details of things I post so for those interested: the table, chairs and little white vases are Ikea, the tablecloth, napkins and napkin rings are from Anthropologie last year and I think I’ve had these dishes from Pottery Barn for close to 10 years. (I can’t remember where the woven place mats are from. Crate & Barrel?)
The brown pitcher is Orla Kiely for Target which I think is really cute but it has some serious design flaws. It’s quite tall and the handle part is too high so when it’s full, it’s heavy and hard to pour. Also, once the water gets below a certain point, there’s a tendency for it to come out too fast. It’s a good thing we were outside because everyone spilled a lot of water that night. I think I’ll be using it as a vase from now on.

Cute fabric print! Don't you love eating outside during the summer! It is the only thing that I like about the hot summers in Georgia!

It looks super stylish! The table cloth is wonderful and you've really got the whole look together, colours and all!
I'm sure we all got stuff like your vase that doesn't work like it's intended to, so it's a good idea just to start using it for something else instead.

This is so chic and lovely! Those chairs really caught my eye too! I can't believe they are from Ikea! They look like the expensive modern/chic garden chairs I see around. Great find! Do you happen to know the name or if they are still available?

Just lovely – a beautiful, bohemian table! And I saw those chairs at IKEA (and the table to go with them). Really good prices there – and quite a lot of selection. I saw a smallish table with 4 chairs at West Elm going for 1500 US – on sale. Craziness for something that will brave the elements.

I think the difficult part for me is trying to figure out how to have you guys over for dinner while also having you decorate for said dinner? That setting is gorgeous and sophisticated. I hope the dinner and company was just as lovely!
