July To Do List and June Recap
July 1, 2009 | 13 comments

Where does the time go? It’s already a new month so time to face the list.
JUNE TO DO LIST
1. Plan potagère.
2. Weed!
3. Toss magazines older than 1 month; read them first(!)
4. Unpack everything. (I have a bad habit of leaving souvenirs and random items in bags for weeks after a trip.)
5. Find an outdoor rug.
6. Have windows cleaned.
7. Cull dog toys.
June ended up being crazy busy and I’m not sure why. So there was no time for the magazine purge. So this will be number 1 for July. And I just can’t seem to find an outdoor rug that I like that doesn’t cost a fortune. At this rate, the summer will be over and I won’t need one anymore. Any suggestions?
JULY TO DO LIST
1. Toss magazines older than 1 month; read them first(!)
2. Find an outdoor rug.
3. Clean all the filters in the house. Yuk.
4. Clean the chandelier. Double yuk.
5. Get a coil hose for the garden.
6. Rearrange outdoor seating area.
7. Organize important documents and papers.
Are any of you keeping lists? How are you doing on them?

I wish I could be as organised as that…. I think I should be doing the same as my head is always a turmoil of things to do, things that I want to do and things that I am supposed to do… and things that I shouldn’t do… unbeliavable – July already!

I need to make more lists. I do daily lists, and they are scribled on receipts and unorganized flying around my car. I need these monthly lists, bad! You are such an inspiration with these! Starting in August (I know, what a cop out, but July is way way too crazy, I need to be moved first) I’m starting monthy lists!
not sure what you’re looking for in an outdoor rug, but these are onsale at Ballard:

And D&A has a lot to choose from!

Good luck
On my list today, pack and get to the airport, NOT LATE. It’s always a struggle!

I was thinking of making a mega To-Do list for this month myself. I have tons at work but not for the non-work life. I also agree with the challenge of finding an outdoor rug. Nothing really suits my space and when I find one that does, it uber expensive. Let me know if you find anything good!

Honestly, A, between your shoes and your lists I feel SO inadequate. I just try and make it through the day with some weeding and to ignore the things I should be getting done!

Meg: Thanks for the tip – will check it out. And really, all bets are off when you’re moving. Your entire day is one giant to do list when you’re in the middle of a move!
Amy:
K-Line: Really you shouldn’t. One, I don’t have the cutest little girl to take care of(!) And Two, I am such a lazy ass that if I didn’t make lists, I’d get nothing done. And I mean NOTHING.

i love making lists, but I have rather long ones at the moment since moving and nesting!!
but it makes me happy!
I write them in a fat sketch book and sketch along my list with ideas.

I just found your blog – and I love it! On my blog roll you go.
I am the queen of to-do lists – but a word of advice: don’t throw out too many of those magazines! I did a few years ago, and I’m so filled with regrets (I had years of back issues of AD and others). Now, I have some dedicated shelves for them – and try not to weed TOO deeply!
