Gray May Be My New White

paulmassey

I’m a white wall devotee but I can’t get all the gray walls I’m seeing lately out of my mind.

Is it just me or is everyone really into gray right now? See what everyone else is into today at Julia’s weekly blog party.

Today’s also the end of my week as a visiting blogger week ofifteen. Head over today if you’d like to see what hotel I want to stay in next. (It’s a good one!)

Happy weekend, everyone! See you Monday.

Those gray walls would be super by candlelight. But what caught my eye most was those dangling lights on coloured cords (are they lights?) – what a stylish, versatile and inexpensive idea! And I love the touch of zingy yellow against the grey in that same photo.

I love grey. My slightly pink hued (mainly white) living and dining room walls are accented by gorgeous, Victorian moulding (foot high) and rosettes in slate grey. Totally gorgeous combo IMO. It was like that when I moved in 10 years ago and I never want to change it. Though my mother says I'm boring for always staying the same!

i think people have been really into grey for some time now. i think i'll always adore it for walls. we have a super light grey in the living room, i wish it were darker, but i'm still happy with it. i think i'd really like it for a kitchen.

    happy weekend alek!

Mise: I'm pretty sure they are lights. I really like them too in the different colors.

Jane: Thank you! And you know, we have grey concrete floors. :)

ofifteen: Thank you! It was an honor to be asked!

K-Line: When do we get to see a photo? It sounds gorgeous

    Happy weekend, all!

Right now everyone is doing gray. I like it, but only those with the cool blue undertones. The warm grays with the yellowy red undertones I don't not like.

BTW, I'm holding an amazing giveaway on my blog. There are 4 different Lipstick Queen prize packages up for grabs (total retail $200). You can enter here.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

I am so strumming your tune. I can't get the matt dark grey out of my head. I painted our dining room that same dark grey but wish now I had stuck with the matt instead of eggshell finish. I love the sultriness of it. Is that a word?!

    Happy weekend to you ~

I have never ever met a grey wall I didn't like. Since my home doesn't have the architectural interest to support my first love, white walls, every last one is painted in Benjamin Moore Harbor Grey. J'adore

Yes, yes, yes to grey/ gray in all its shapes and soothing forms. Particularly loving picture 5. Grey is just so sophisticated and elegant. Something I definitely aspire to, if only I could get bubblegum colours out of my head! x

These are all wonderful greys! I just love grey and I'm so happy we painted most of our home with very light grey, it makes an interesting change from white which is the usual neutral color to paint most walls with. Now we're thinking about repainting the bedroom (yes just a few months after we painted it the first time!) and we've been looking at this one lovely purpleish grey for it.
