Sunrooms, Solariums, Conservatories, . . .

It’s Hooked on Fridays and I’m hooked on sunrooms. Also called conservatories, solariums, Florida rooms, porch enclosures . . . am I leaving anything out? They can be cute like this:

or this (although technically I don’t think this is really a sunroom but it has that vibe):

They can also be downright swanky like these:

or more rustic like these:

and while most seem to be used as lounging and sitting areas, they can also make a fantastic workspace:

Whatever you call it, whatever the style, they just make me so happy. I think it’s going on my list of must have’s for our cabin.

I’m finally going to get that vegetable garden going this weekend and do some serious weeding. What do you have planned?

So many lovely choices!! I especially love the third one…slightly rugged yet still pretty. So sunroom, something else to add to future home requirements. :)

These are lovely..I rarely see them. I kind of wish they made them in some of the newer homes.. A great place to enjoy the outdoors all year long…

Just beautiful, all of it. I especially like the shots of colors, the purple, the green, the reds. So nice to see, I think I have to have everything colorful. I'm going to have to learn to scale back.

Wow, these sunrooms make me so happy! I love this look – the white wood walls, ceilings, and floors. It is just the perfect palate for any design style. These are amazing. Thank you for brightening my day!

Ohh, I want a sunroom. It's so cold now, here in Sydney, Australia. Second week of winter and I'm already complaining ;-)

Would love a lovely, warm sunroom to just soak the warmth in. I've got a back deck (covered), but the wind can still be chilly.

A sunroom is a must for my dream house.

Thanks for including a shot of a room that has a cement tile floor. (The elegant white & black room). It is a wonderful thing when designers help raise the awareness of "Cuban tile, aka Mosaico Hidraulicos" in the States.

I have actually gotten tile inquiries from people who have happened upon your blog and I thank you.
