Our House

Having only lived in large cities where everybody lived in apartments, we just assumed that’s what we would do when we moved to Seattle. But our real estate agent had other ideas. He showed us houses. We had never even considered a house.  But in Seattle, we learned, it was quite normal to live in a house.  Who knew?  We saw a few interesting places before our agent took us to see one that was under construction and not yet on the market. (He happened to know the owner.) What we saw was a messy construction site but I could totally visualize what a beautiful house it was going to be. So we decided right then and there that this was our house. Just like that. After seeing only five houses, we found our home.  That’s some serious luck, right?
